wow, gotten so many favorites, add to collections and galleries, i'm overwhelmed. it'd take several days to thanks each one of you wonderful deviants individually for the favs. so *THANK YOU* to everyone; i'm so pleased that you all enjoy my deviations

this just started out as an easy way to make the photos accessible to a few particular people, and that fact than anyone on DA could comment and encourage made it all the more exciting. i really does make my day to see how many people got at least a smile from my pix

and a little background info...
i do have an alternate DA for my more socially-acceptable work. although i'm currently at university working on my BS of Marine Biology, i've always needed to tangibly express myself. so after taking every art class in middle school, plus 2 wood shop classes, i enrolled in a few high school ceramics classes. and lucky me, they also happened to be opening the glass blowing 'academy' my senior year. i've been so fortunate to be able to be part of (relatively dirt cheap) glass program at a _public_ school. it's incredible. but more on that at my other DA.
there were a few other kinky chicks that i met through the sculpture classes, and we always had fun with the extra clay. even though the teachers weren't allowed to fire the ceramics toys we made, pity.
unfortunately, the art program is so impacted at my university that only art-specific majors are allowed to enroll in the hands-on classes. but i'm still in contact with my high school teachers, and they've invited me back to play with clay there anytime i like, even to volunteer and assist with the glass program. but that'll all start happening in a few weeks yet; with it being the first week of school, things on both campuses need a little time to settle down and de-crazy-fy.
....which bring me to my point; if you're curious as to what my non-portrait stuff looks like, i can/will send out the link as a note if requested. there are a few teachers and much younger friends [ like my 10 y/o bother >.< ] that i'd really prefer not to be aware of this DA. so i'm going to ask for absolutely no back-and-forth-links or obvious references between the two. i know none of you would do that on purpose, but there are likely a few who might have found themselves forgetting.

everything so far has been with a hand-me-down Canon PowerShot S110, rather old and beat up. i haven't had any help *yet*, so if the angle is weird it's cause i had to fiddle with the mini-tripod and some packing boxes to get to sit straight. though in the next few weeks, when the aforementioned 'few particular people' are in town and available, there will some (hopefully) higher quality photos up and posted. *perhaps* as soon as this sat/sun. if i'm lucky

SO. i'll have more posts when i'm in the mood. which means they will be sporadic and with little or no warning.
